Glaze v. (as applied to paint finishing) To coat with a thin, liquid or mixture that will be smooth and shiny after setting.
We at DetailerGuy WILL ONLY apply glazes to your paint when requested.
This is normally a quick-fix for someone trying to get best bang for the buck for their car when thye're trying to resell to an unsuspecting buyer!
There are times when using a final glaze is unavoidable where swirls are not coming out of the paint regardless of what we throw at it, the choice of using a glaze is totally yours! (most of the time it's certainly not needed!)
As you can see from the example below, a glaze fills in the microscopic valleys in the paint that reflect themselves as swirls as shown below
